Yes, I would agree about the book. Even if you thought only 1000 people would buy it, applying the same odds as the money for MS, You would have yourself a few pretty pennies.

But there IS a book, there IS! Granted, it's not all Melissa, as it should be, but after what I am sure will be the wild success of the "This Day.." book, I bet she'll feel positively COMPELLED to strike out on her own and publish massive amounts of infotainment for us!
