If you're local: help me!
The 15 year old girl Logan got off the Giving Tree at work wants a cd player. Already done. She's also like a Tweety Bird stuffed animal and I can't find one and it is making me insane.
First of all because I hate stuffed animals. Secondly because I want her to want something else. But that's not my place, my place is to make her Tweety dreams come true.
Have you seen one of these stuffed animals anywhere in the Southeast Michigan area? HELP!
The gifts are due at the office Monday.
check Warner Bros. website, they have a store

Have you tried searching ebay? You can restrict an ebay search down to a local area - and then usually arrange with the seller to pick an item up. I tried searching ebay for Tweety Bird Plush, and restricted it to a 75 mile radius of Detroit (I used zip code 48021). I came up with one merchant that is selling some tweety bird dolls. If you're near Detroit, you might be able to get it from them:

The tweety bird items this merchant has listed are "buy it now" items - so you wouldn't have to wait for an auction to end. If you find a tweety bird doll listed on ebay that's closer to you - and it *is* an auction - I'd contact the seller anyway. I've found that sellers frequently have similar items in stock that they haven't put up for auction yet.
Hope this helps! If you can't find a local Tweety Bird in time for Monday, the only other suggestion I have is talking to the Giving Tree people about getting it to them a little late. I was in a very similar situation myself a couple of years ago (trying to get a particular Scooby Doo toy for a wish list like this - and I had bought the toy online and it wasn't going to get shipped to me in time). I talked to the organizers, and they gave me an address to drop the toy off at a week later instead.

I did the same as Kris, and found a tweetie who has no bids, auction is ending before your deadline, and the seller is in Warren (you can probably arrange a pick up). Good luck!

Have you tried Wal-Mart? They are usually in immediate supply of Tweety. Also, I don't know if you're crafty, but you could buy a t-shirt with a large image of the bird on it and cut a back and stuff it. Also, I know that Warner Bros. has a few mall locations. I don't know if there would be one in any of your local malls. You could call the Disney store too, they sometimes carry Warner Bros. stuffies. Good luck!

I think there is a Warner Brothers store in either 12 oaks or that other mall... try calling over there

don't know how far you're willing to drive, I live in Port Huron. I just checked online and Target has tweety stuff, and so does Toys R Us. Have you tried Lakeside Mall?? They have a disney store, but i think they also sell some other popular cartoon characters.

I have donated to giving tree for years. Make sure you give extra-batteries with the CD player. Also include wrapping paper; the volunteers will wrap it after you hand over the presents.

Well, if memory serves me, there's a Toys R Us over in Madison Heights, kinda across from the Oakland Mall (aka, the ghettOakland Mall), and you might want to try the big freakin' Target Greatland in Troy off 14 Mile on Coolidge Highway. I believe the Warner Bros. stores have been out of business for several years now, so don't bet on them. You might also want to give SuperK (K-mart, whatever) a shot. I think there's one in Troy off Rochester, but you might want to check that one out beforehand since my sense of direction's a bit fuzzier on that one.

I had a dream last night I was in a Bed Bath and Beyond store doing Xmas shopping and saw a Tweety plush. My train of thought was all, "Oh my god, I know someone who needs one of these, but she in Michigan! Should I call her? No! I don't have her number and she doesn't know me! Can my dad call her? No! She doesn't know him either! Do they have Bed Bath and Beyond in Michigan? I need a computer, stat!"
You know I'm concerned when it invades my dreams. ;)

It's funny because I want the 15 year old girl to want the Tweety. That seems like such a kid thing to want. It reminds me of something my little sister would want back then.
I wish I knew where a tweety is but I too would try ebay.
Did you do a redesign? I like it!

What happened to the last few posts? I'm only pulling up this post as the latest one and it's 12/16? I remember seeing the triplet photos... just curious. Hope all is well.
Merry Christmas.

Were you in Kohl's in Stratford a week ago? I saw two women, in Kohl's having this very conversation. Tee hee, we've had a chance encounter, if so.
