Go Melissa Go.
Things one person has said to me which have kept me going:
"I thought you were kidding about not wanting to cry anymore but I guess not. To me, the fact that you cry is just a sign that you're full. You need to let things out. I love full people."
"When you say you don't know why you feel on edge I want to slap you silly [I paraphrased here] because you are on the edge. You're on the edge of changing your entire world view."
"I know you're really scared, but I'm really excited because you're on the edge of something great."
"Go, Melissa! Go! You're doing it!"
I love you Internet. I don't know how I ever would have found the cheering section I have without you.

Today's the day to post about Maggie and how important she is to us. Go, Maggie! Go!

We DO rock pretty fucking hard, don't we? As do you, m'dear.

These are the nicest bunch of things i've ever read in one place said about one person (that wasn't a wedding.)
Go, Melissa! Go!
You're amazing.

Friends say the nicest things and it sounds like you have a real friend in Maggie.

Though we share a name I apparently don't share your Maggie's ability to form a very important thought into words. I completely agree with her assessment of you - you ARE on the edge of changing your entire world view, and you are DOING it. That takes tremendous courage. Good for you! And good for Maggie!

I'm pretty sure that Maggie Mason is one of the coolest people ever. And no worries, no matter what you might be feeling right now, you're right up there with her.

You are incredibly funny.

Would it be lame to just pipe in with Maggie's awesome, Melissa's awesome, and we're all lucky to have them both?
Sorry, bit weepy this morning, can't do better than that at the moment, but wanted to pick up my pom-poms anyway.

Sorry, I can't say nice things about Maggie because she causes me to crack my ribs and hurt myself falling out of my chair. I cried over the 'sensual' restaurant until I got the hiccups. Hiccups I say! How much pain can I endure just because she is wise and pretty and kind of a fire goddess.
Now we need a card that says 'Melissa' because none of it would help if you didn't listen so completely and always try again and delight your readers. After all, we are here aren't we.

I'm having dinner with Maggie tonight! I wish you could come and meet us, lady. XO.

I've been trying to think of ways to say "Melissa, you're cool" for a while now, and kept on rejecting them all as being trite. You hear that you're cool from strangers on the internet all the time! What good will it be to hear it again, in a totally derivative way?
Maybe none. But, dammit, you're cool, and so I'm gonna say it.
And I'm glad that you have amazing people in your life who make you feel supported, and who can express that support eloquently.

I think you're great too. I check your blog every day, and I know I wouldn't do that if I weren't getting so much out of it. I'm so thrilled for you with your new way of looking at things. Thanks for sharing it all with us.
