When tired, post photos.

The best part of having the bathroom (nearly) done, is spending time together doing fun things again.

Saturday we decided to go to Greenfield Village because it was unseasonably warm and also sunny.

Remember a year ago when I talked about spending the day in Ann Arbor with the kids? I said how it was "...one of those days which made me embrace my uterus with passion and lust. I watched my family at lunch and as we walked around downtown Ann Arbor and I wondered to myself how I could ever feel ambivalent about this life."

I do whine and bitch about my babies, but they really are fun to be around. Hanging out with Dutch and Wood has reminded me how fun it really is to have kids.

Here are some pictures....almost none of the kids but, listen, I do love them and we did have fun.

I like this shot because you can see the cobwebs in the window and it looks like a black and white but it's not.

PS: Greenfield Village is really fun. If you're ever in Michigan, I highly recommend it.

*SQUEAL* Greenfield Village! That was my most favorite field trip ever! I lived in MI for 1.5 years of my life as a child and I can still remember how much I loved that field trip.

It's been *cough* *cough* 25 years since I've been in MI and I'm planning to be there over the New Year - probably won't go to Greenfield Village, but who knows... If I'm completly frozen, I may suggest it. ;)

Awesome pictures!!! We have a membership to the Henry Ford so we go at least 15 times a year ~ not exaggerating. My 5 and 10 year old love the place and I think my 5 year old would move in if they'd let him.

Check out their summer camp, my daughter has gone the last two years and it is awesome, definitely a unique & fun learning experience.

I remember loving Greenfield Village the one time we went, but that was probably about 15 years ago. I also remember wearing white and sitting in the front of the train and getting covered in soot. I thought it was funny, but my mom, unfortunately, did not agree.

One of my fondest memories of my family is of sitting in an old car at Greenfield Village with my parents and siblings, all of us wearing vintage hats and posing for a picture. I think maybe we kids were 9, 11 and 13 year old. It was a great mini-vacation.

Ha! That's so funny! I haven't read in a week because I've been sick, but 2 days after this post, I filmed a scene for a movie in Greenfield Village. I was locked in that SOB from 3 until 11:30, and I spent almost all of that time having my hair & makeup done in a bathroom. I was a slasher victim from the 1880's, see, and I had my heart torn out. THAT was sweet. But let me say, there is a LOT of goose crap in Greenfield Village, and laying in it at 10 at night in December is NOT a good time...
and I didn't get to ride the carousel.
