We leave tomorrow, and I'm not sure I'm ready.
Chicago, you're like an old friend. You're like New York only I can understand how you work and your accent is a lot like mine.
I wish you charged less for parking, but you can't have everything.
We're having a wonderful time but I've taken a short break from the fun (kids swimming with Logan in the hotel pool) (putting a bathing suit on my body after this month of indulgence is about -10 on the enthusiasm scale) to start formulating plans for our next big party on Monday. You can read some of my ideas over at The Buzz Off.
I hope your Christmas was wonderful and your New Year is happy.

Hi! just have to say, again, I'm new to your blog and have spent the better part of my kids' Christmas break catching up on the musings of your life--as if I didn't have a life of my own. Thanks, again, for putting it all out there. So much of what you've written about, your teen years, house selling, love/hate relationship with parenting, etc. have mirrored my own. One thing I have noticed: there are *way* more "Good Days" posts than "Bad Days" and "Dark Times" combined. Thanks. Happy New Year.

I forgot that you were going to be in my city this week! Boy did we ever get the white stuff today (and by that, I mean snow...) but it sounds like you're all livin' the life in a hotel that has an indoor pool! YAY for the modern miracle of cholorine and room service. I hope you had a great, relaxing time here and that you got to see some fun stuff! Happy New Year!

Love your idea of bubble wrap for kid noisemakers! Am heading to Staples right now.

I love Chicago. I'd go there if I had to live anywhere else. Happy New Year.
