Detroit, come on.
Someone educate me.
Why did Dennis Archer have to leave to make way for Kwame Kilpatrick?
Detroit, you confuse me.

Dennis Archer, the poor man, was too good for Detroit politics.

I never understood why Kilpatrick got elected. But i am across the river watching so a lot of doesn't make sense to me. I liked Dennis Archer.

I love the term "technosexual tragedy" from the New York Times article. I will have to add that one to my personal dictionary!

I know. Hasn't the City had enough of this kind of crap? It makes me wanna cry.

I don't have anything to add besides the fact that only the NYT could get away with a phrase like, technosexual tragedy, and I have to admit that hope I get to use that in conversation sometime soon.

Archer actually chose to leave after two terms. (but I think that's not exactly what you're asking in quite such a literal sense) He attends our church occasionally and was smiling and chatting with Maggie last Easter. I thanked him and said we missed him as mayor.
I blogged about this on Strollerderby and will on my own as well, but to sum up...that persisent thudding you hear from the south? Is my head hitting my desk.

Being from a state that elected Schwarzenneger, I have no room to comment.

"did you miss me sexually?" hahaha - plus, every time they show them on Channel 4, she is making that HORRIBLE sour puss face. Did you hear Kwame's mama's rant about everyone out to get her son? C-R-A-Z-Y. Poor Detroit.

What I don't get is why, since Mr. Kilpatrick supposedly worked this out with he wife 'years ago', won't he publicly confirm the relationship? I guess he's stuck now since he lied the first time and is being accused of perjury for it, but still we lie in the first place? To protect his image? Sorry buddy, but I think your image is already ruined.
