I happened to be sitting in the Saturn dealership on Telegraph this morning, waiting while my car was serviced, and I was able to watch Kim Worthy's entire speech live on the TV in the waiting area.

FINALLY! It's about time some of Kwame's antics catch up with him.

Worthy was very eloquent and convincing. Anyone who thinks Kwame is getting a raw deal over his 'personal' affairs needs to listen carefully to Worthy's entire statement.

Now I guess we can watch the media circus unfold. It should be awesome. I hope he gets jail time, but to be honest, I'm doubting it. We'll be lucky if he steps down. I wouldn't at all be surprised if he hangs on to his office.

I've lived in Metro Detroit most of my life, and I'm tired of the city being looked down on by the rest of the country, but no doubt do we deserve it. I know that many public officials in big cities all across the U.S. are corrupt, but for Christ's sake, Kwame isn't even good at it.

Bill Clinton lied under oath regarding several charges, some of which were his "personal business," cost the Federal Government untold dollars in stall tactics and dodging maneuvers, only to be regaled as a rock star. Why is this joker any different?

The biggest difference I see is that Kilpatrick was on trial for wrongly firing a police chief and two other officers.

His affair was integral in the actual firing of three men and destruction of their careers. He lied about it and the people of the jury saw right through it.

The Starr Report was, as I understand it, meant to prove the president had an affair with Monica Lewinsky and the president lied about it.

If Kwame Kilpatrick had lied about having an affair with Christine Beatty, simply because he didn't want an extramarital affair tied to his run as mayor. I could care less, as I've said before.

He lied about it because the affair was integral in the firing of three career policemen for being 'whistle blowers'.

The case cost the city 9 million dollars because the mayor and his chief of staff did wrongly fire those men.

This is not simply a perjury case.

I see that as a huge difference.
