Please Don't Copy. I really didn't want to put a copyright thing on my site. It seemed a little....I don't know. But it's been brought to my attention I need to remind people to maybe think their own thoughts.
Ha---it just goes to show that most cats have that whole "I am the boss of the family" vibe.
When I was growing up we had two house cats. My Dad hates cats. For a few years, my Dad worked 3rd shift. Anytime that my Dad was working at night, the cat would not sleep with my mom. But on weekends, the cat would be right in their bed with them and would work his way up so he was in between my parents. He would then stare at my Dad knowing that the only thing my Dad wanted to do was to boot him from the bed, and knowing that my Mom would never let that happen.
Is she worried you'll disrupt the couch-matching color scheme they've got there? OH MY GOD; I hadn't noticed that she's holding the remote! Madison the Sofa Overlord is displeased by all of this malarkey!
We just took in a cat for a friend (I am NOT a cat person...but I did it for my daughter who's been begging for a cat, I love my dog) and he has that same tendency, except it's on the kitchen chairs. When it comes time to eat you have to wrestle him off the chair. He's only been here for 4 months, but if you ask him he was here before us so it's his house.
We just rescued a black cat on Fat Tuesday. He's now named "Mardi Gras" and aspires to be a big, fat cat just like Gary someday. He's currently having his manhood removed. I plan on sleeping with one eye open tonight since it was I who took him to the vet. Oh the humanity!
Awwwww, kitty.

Can't have a cat myself (allergies), but cat owner friends say this cartoon about covers it: Simon's Cat "Cat Man Do"
My old Jack Russell used to do this to me in a full-sized bed.

I have an evil cat, we call him "evil pussy" but the kids just call him EP, since that word is generally frowned upon in polite circles.

That look is priceless.
I can't wait to pop out my daughter so I can benefit from being on the receiving end of looks that are pissy by various degrees.

Your cat's name is Gary? That may be the best cat name EVER!
