The Humiliation: Mutt Strut 2009
My brother walked the Mutt Strut and thanks to a lot of people who were as eager as I was to see my brother march around in a furry hot dog suit (Thank God there isn't a furry hot dog suit guy at the market) (Oh God, I'm sure I just cursed myself) (July is National Hot Dog Month.)
My sister in law sent along a few pictures and an email to say thanks. I think you'll enjoy them.
Thank you all SO much for your very generous donations to the 2009 Mutt Strut! Team Williams (Team Hotdog) raised $1690! Woohoo!!
Attached are some pics from the day......which by the way was HOT - 85 degrees! Scott didn't complain at all, he commented that his fire gear is hotter....so maybe he's used to it. I don't know.
The looks he got from people were hysterical - but not ONE person stopped to ask what was up with the costume. Hoosiers are polite that way I guess.
Kids yelled out, 'Hey HOTDOG MAN!!' and he would wave or do a jig, lots of people took his photo, the DJ at the entrance said in the mic 'I KNOW the guy in the hotdog suit is here to strut it.....you go man!' Two cute college chickies high fived him and when they walked away one said to the other, 'I'm hungry, now I want a hotdog.'
At one point I had both of our dogs and Scott yelled up to me, 'Hey, gimme one of the dogs, I look stupid walking without one!' Yeeeaaahhhh.....not having a dog on a leash is what's making you look stupid..... mmmhmm....
It was a fun day....and very successful - many, many thanks to all of you...
Warmest Regards,
Team Hotdog
Hot Dog! With a Hot Dog! Get it?
I think in this picture my brother is texting an apology to me to Facebook for that time he made me eat a non-chewable. Also to my sister for calling her "Bubble Butt".

This picture is my favorite because Gunner is looking away like he's really embarassed to be there with him. As my sister in law said, "Yeah, Gunner was acting like Scott was disrespecting the Strut by wearing the Hotdog suit. They had words the night before. Molly too."

dude. he rocks that hot dog suit.

Hilarious! I wonder if I could get MY brother to wear a hotdog suit? Probably not - I have no leverage - I'm older & I was meaner... Somehow I'd end up in the suit myself...

Hi Melissa - Just want to tell you that we made paper floofs for our teacher luncheon at school - our theme was walking the red carpet, so we had red floofs, red carpet and black table cloths with silver and red accents. we loved the floofs - they looked great. thanks for the idea (from the old neighborhood!)
